Photos Available - NEDA's Annual Black Butte Ride

First Place - Beats Walkin' Driven by Red Black

Thanks to everyone at NEDA for having us out to photograph your lastest event.  The organization hosts the Annual Black Butte Ride in Hazen, Nevada.  This year's event was a single day ride, although in some years past, they also offered a night ride through the desert by moonlight.  This was Projections Photography's 5th year to attend.  Three riders completed the short Fun Ride of ten miles, and six riders and one driver completed the longer ride for 25 miles credit.

Congratulations to winner Robert Black.  Second place went to Steve Thompson and Larry Green came in third.  I heard many positive comments about the trail this year.

Jack C Davis Observatory

I hope everyone took the opportunity to get to at least one of the week long activities at WNC to celebrate the observatory's ten year anniversary.  Lots of great speakers.  My personal highlight was attending the gallery party for my friend John Dykes.  He is a wonderfully talented photographer, and he has done some amazing work in astrophotography.  His work is currently on display at WNC in the Bristlecone Building.  John selected metal prints as his media for this show, and they really pop.  I would encourage everyone to check it out!

Exotic Destinations ~ San Luis Obispo

Just back from a wonderful trip to San Luis Obispo.  Our warmest thanks to two fantastic families who joined us for spectacular portraits on our first ever Exotic Destinations.  We had the pleasure of capturing some unforgettable memories in several locations throughout the area, including the beautiful gardens at Mission San Luis Obispo, casual settings in old SLO, and Morrow Bay.  The weather turned out to be beautiful, and we had a blast.  I would highly recommend the trip to anyone looking for a get away.  We will definitely be back.

Reserved for a very limited number of participants, Exotic Destinations is a program featuring portrait sessions at  locations that are out of the area and guaranteed to be beautiful.  If you are looking for that perfect portrait holiday card to make everyone on your wish list jealous, this might be right for you!  The special portrait experience will include a pre-session consultation, where we customize the locations you want to cover, multiple portrait sessions at the places you have selected, and a post trip presentation, complete with a DVD of your adventure.  Scott is already scouting out areas for our fall trip.  Not to give anything away, but I bet he finds some place WARM.  If you are tired of your family portraits always being centered around the fireplace, talk to us about a much more exciting option!
